A hands-on Raku firing experience in my Penzance studio — perfect if you want to try Raku without committing to a full course.

What you’ll get:

You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the Raku process and your fired work (where possible on the day).

This experience is not date-specific — after purchase, I’ll contact you to arrange a suitable date.

Details:
Come along to my studio and have a taster session of Raku firing.
You will be given two small bottles thrown by me. After a chat about all things raku, where you will be shown some examples you will glaze your pieces and watch as they are fired to 1000 °C.  They will then be removed from the kiln while glowing bright orange hot and the postfiring reduction will take place. This takes about 15 minutes for the alchemy to happen. Your pieces will then be quenched in water and scrubbed clean. 
Your beautiful pieces will then be ready for you to take home.
This is a great thing to do as a couple or a family while you are on holiday here in Cornwall or as a treat for a birthday or other special occasion.
